TAJLANDIA- PŁYWAJĄCY TARG W DAMNOEN SADUAK
Wyjechałem komfortowym busem z Bangkoku po 5 rano. Trasę ponad 100 km pokonaliśmy w dwie godziny, które wykorzystałem na dośpienie. W niewielkim miasteczku Damnoen Saduak znajduje się zachowany do dziś niezwykły „wodny” targ Tajlandii. Po labiryncie wodnych, wąskich kanałów miejscowe kobiety poubierane w wysokie stożkowe kapelusze pływają łodziami wypełnionymi owocami, warzywami. Można u nich kupić specjały kuchni tajskiej, wypić kawę lub herbatę zalewaną z wielkiego sagana ogrzewanego ogniem z butli gazowej. Wiele chat wzdłuż kanałów jest oryginalna pamiętająca czasy gdy turyści tu nie przybywali, bo dziś targ jest wielką atrakcją turystyczną ściągającą każdego dnia dziesiątki podróżników. Żeby sprostać oczekiwaniom turystów wiele z chat powiększono i przystosowano tak, by pomieścić większą ilość towaru; część przerobiono na restauracje z widokiem na kanały. Dziś dominują tu komercyjne wyroby produkowane pod turystów. Pamiątkowe wyplatane ze słomy tajskie kapelusze, kolorowe koszule, magnesiki na lodówkę, breloczki a nawet skarbonki podobne do tych z zakopiańskiego targu pod Gubałówką. Claudia z Wenezueli z którą wynająłem sobie łódź na zakupy (razem z Thomasem z Niemiec) przyjechała by zrobić sobie zdjęcie z wężami, które miejscowi udostępniają na targu za słoną opłatę. W bocznych kanałach udało nam się odszukać taką ofertę ku szczęściu mojej koleżanki. Płody rolne, które kiedyś były przedmiotem handlu w tym miejscu zostały wyparte poza obrzeża miasta i rzadko trafiają tam turyści. Mi się udało- ale nie zrobiłem tego łodzią napędzaną silnikiem motorowym a na piechotę przemierzając wąskie nieco błotniste dróżki. Na targu sprzedaje się warzywa, owoce, ziarna zbóż, tytoń, również kury, kaczki, prosiaki itp. To taki prawdziwy tajski wodny targ. Kupiłem sobie tutaj moje ulubione rambutany i prosty słomiany kapelusz wprost spod ręki kobiety, która je wyplatała.
